There was probably something in the small print about this but it is very poor customer service not to send out a courtesy email to advise that they’d be trying to take payment today.
Total AV has worked well for the past year however I paid around £25.00 a year ago for this product and this morning they have tried to take £119.00 without any warning. Total AV will charge around £25 then a further £119 a year later with no warning! And as of today I am still looking for my refund. I found this email buried in my email inbox of SPAM Jun 30th 2018. I request a full refund of $119.00 immediately. This seems to be yet another instance of companies fleecing ordinary Americans. I have contacted my bank and cancelled my credit card. It was ineffective! As well as it caused Program installation issues, as well as broken registry links And how does an outrageous charge of $119.00 appear on credit card. My original email: I would like to cancel my account because I haven’t had Total AV on my Computer for MONTHS. The problem is it appears as SPAM/Junk and automatically gets placed in said folder/therefore deleted. They are correct in one respect, you will receive an email approx. I have sent emails requesting a refund and even escalated it through their online chat (Chat Details Date: 6 11:33am EDT Subject: Request immediate refund Agent: Elaine ?.), still have yet to hear back. Reason: Everytime a suspect file was found in order to remove it you need to (subscribe) pay more. I had uninstalled Total AV at least 4-6 months ago. My wife immediately called the credit card company and reported it as fraud, the charge was stated as a TotalAV. Without no warning an $119.00 charge appeared on my credit card.
